Its never ending. The search for the right house and the search for the right realtor.
I found a realtor on line and I was using him for a little while but I just wasn't getting the "warm fuzzies" from him. He was a nice guy but I need a realtor to help me find a home. I don't just want someone to just open the door for me and unfortunately that is what he turned out to be.
He did try to show me some new homes in this one neighborhood but they were all cookie cutter type homes in a vinyl village which is what I told him from the very beginning that I didn't want. Then after two weeks he sends me an email and try's to push me on to these homes again. Telling me " remember the home we looked at in ******** place. The one you liked! The price has dropped"
Ummmm...mister realtor guy....I didn't "like" any of those homes you showed me.
I felt like he was trying to push me to buy a home that I didn't fall in love with...by the way, I told him I need to fall in love with the home. It didn't happen. Anyway I sent him an email tonight letting him know that my plans have changed.
So now I am moving on to the next one...haven't found one yet, but I'm moving on.
So D and E called me up and told me about this home that they just drove by. They provided all the information and I looked it up on line. It's almost exactly what I want...at least on paper. The pics look nice and the yard is fenced in and the neighborhood is a slightly upper scale neighborhood. All good news! The master bedroom seems a little small but I willing to take a look.
I called the realtor and scheduled a showing tomorrow. It's a little pricey but it has been on the market for a while so maybe there will be some wiggle room to negotiate down.
I still need to sell my house. Ms.E's daughter is planning on purchasing the house but it might not be until April....it's killing me, but on the same ground it gives me time to look. I haven't found the right home and to be honest I'm a little tired of looking on line.
My eyes are starting to bug out and all the houses are starting to look the same. So I'm trying a new appoach..I'm going just drive around to different area's and see what homes are for sell. It at least gets me off of the computer and out in the really world.

2011 Ice Storm
I've been so behind on my blogging. I guess life has gotten a little crazy. I have some ski trips I want to write about and update on the house thing. (little teaser...I might be moving soon!!!)
Anyway I thought I would share some photos I took this morning of the Ice Storm we are enduring currnently. It's been a while since I've played with my carmera and this morning at 6:00am I felt like little kid excited about xmas. I jumped out of bed and through on my jacket and shoes, grabbed my camera and ran outside. Lucky for me we were asked to work from home today so there was not delay in with work:)
I was out there for almost an hour and I didn't realize my hands were for were frozen to the bone utnil I came in and they hurt from the burning sensation of them thawing out. I guess that is what happens when you love something so much that you don't even realize the pain your body is in.
Anyway, here are some of the pics I took this morning.
OK...I don't have time to figure out why the bottom picture is turn incorrectly. I figure you get the idea.I may have more pics tomorrow because we are expecting even more ice.
