NEW HAIR....Finally!!!

OK, I finally got my hair done. Not a very big change but I do like it. I still have all my length but now I actually have bangs!!!! Yeah....I feel much better. The great things about bangs is that even when you pull your hair back you can still look like you have style.

Alright, no more waiting! here are the before and after....keep in mind my after shot is the first time I worked with my hair...give a few more times and I'm sure it will style correctly:) yes, I'm picky...LOL

BEFORE

Notice, I tried to get the front and back all in one picture....not to bad!!!!

AFTERI still have to work a little with it...it looked better when the hair dresser did it but like I said, give me a few more times and it will work. The great part about this style is how versatile it can be. I can pull it back or curl it or just let it go straight. I put a little flip on the ends to add some volume.

I feel so much better about getting my hair done.

I love this snow...it's so pretty. However it's interfering with my running outside a little bit. I am now stuck to either running in circles around a stupid track or jumping on the treadmill.

However there are always little surprises that comes from the snow....Like a little love note from my dogs. No joke....I came home the other day and as I walked out my garage I look to my right and there was this huge heart in the yard!

I am such a romantic! My heart just warmed up....and I know that it is purely a coincidence and it really isn't a true heart but it was fun to think it was and that my dogs were trying to say they love me. Just to note there are no other makes in my yard except for this heart and a path I shoveled for my dogs to go potty. So figure that one out!

Anyway it made me smile so I grabbed the first camera I saw and took a picture of it....and three days later it's still there!

I am so loved!!!

OK, now off to get my oil changed, switch my wiper blades and register my plates.

Let It Snow, and ice and sleek and......

Arm Jenni with a camera and see what she does when she is stuck in traffic!

Halfway through my 20 minute drive, which in this weather was really close to a 1 hour drive...stop and go...stop and go...OMG!!! I thought I was going to go crazy.

Look!!! We've topped out at 25 miles an hour. Now we are really moving.

This is what our road looked like when I left work. Yuccckkyyyy!!!!

Geezzz...just go already...green light...GREEN LIGHT!!!! Pedal on the right...Gas people!!! Here I am trying to be patient behind the wheel. Can you see the irritation deep in my eyes!!!

Here I am sipping on a Wendy's soda....don't worry it's caffeine free. And Geeeeezzz look at my forehead.....It's HUGE...thank God I'm getting some bangs tomorrow. It almost looks like I have a receding hair line...I'm hoping it's just the angle and the camera lens.

Oh, look this is a good sign....I know you are looking at the picture saying to yourself "what the hell is that". Well it's a snow plow...big honken, shovel draggin, salt dumping truck. You go Mr. Truck...clean our roads and make them safe for my morning drive. Well...welcome to Indy and our beautiful weather...on day cold and snowy next day dry and sunny. I love it here in Indy, where else can you go and get such a variation from day to day!

A New Hairstyle

Yes, a new hairstyle for Jenni. After a full day of recoup, watching movies, popcorn, soda and yes one bowl of ice cream I am feeling much better. So now on with living my healthy life:)

I've been pondering a new hair style and I actually have an appointment with a hairstylist this coming Wednesday....crossing my finger...because she is new and I really hate new stylist. I've had my fair share of hair disasters in my life. But this time I'm being smart, because me trying to explain exactly what I want to a hairstylist in "Jenni terms" doesn't always translates to hairstylist terms. So this time I going in with pictures!!!! How better to communicate than to point to pictures and say "can we do this with my hair?" Like they say pictures can say a thousand word:)

For every ones amusement I have scanned in the pictures I am planning on taking. Really the styles are not much different that what I have other than there will be an actual style to my flat, lifeless hair.

So here is the style I am going for. This is probably the best style for my life right now. Quick and easy...I hope. However I think I need a little bang

So, here is two pictures of bangs...i want something in between these two pictures. The dark hair girl has to little, short bangs. But the blonde has to long of bangs I want something that is longer than the dark hair girl but something shorter than the blond hair girl. So I will see that the stylist will say.

I will do a before and after.....at least if it turns bad we all can get a chuckle out of it:)

Running Update

Yeap...I'm offically crazy! I am up to running 4 times a week! And it is freaking freezing here in Indy.

My running schedule it as follows:
Monday - run at 6:15am for 3.5 miles
Tuesday - run at 7:00pm for 2 - 3 miles
Thursday - run at 6:15am for 3.5 miles
Saturday - run at 7:00am for 4 miles!!!!

Yes, today I actually ran my first 4 miles...I am very proud of myself. To top it off I ran at about an 11 minute mile pace. This is in no means a world record but I find it impressive becuase I was running a 12 minute mile at the begining of December. This was in no way an easy run, I was huffing and puffing but I pushed through...our first mile was at 10:36...that paced about killed me!

To put the icing on the cake it was about 17 degrees outside which means my lungs were hurting and I am still hacking at I am typing. Part of it might be because I am still getting over being sick.

I know, I probably should not have run today because my body really does need the rest..but fear not! I do have a plan of rest. I went to Family Video...thanks to Shamrock!!!!...and got a memeber ship and rented 11 videos.....I KNOW....that's a lot! But it only cost 7.50. Killer deal.

So my plan is to sit for the rest of the day and watch movies until bed time. I orginally was going to have a lot of junk food such as brownies with icing, bannana split, M&Ms and what ever other junk I could get my hands on, but as I was running this morning I realized I couldn't do that...I couldn't put a bunch of junk in my body in additoin to the amount of calories that I would be ingesting...so I'm going to have veggies with light ranch dressing, light popcorn and caffine free diet soda. I know not as much fun but at least I can try to stay on track a little bit better.

You are probably wondering how I got 11 videos for $7.50....well....family video has a deal that if you are a new member you get videos 1/2 off for 30 days. On top of that they have this huge section that is 2 for $1. Then there is a section that has the video's for $1 and then of course the New Release section that was like $2.5 or $3 per video ( because I was new I could only rent 3 New Release at a time). I couldn't believe how cheap they were. If I would have went to blockbuster it would have cost me over $30. I found my new video store...and it's not to far away!

Anyway, the plan for today is rest and watch lots of movie and get over this stupid cold!!!!

And for all those crazy people out there that actually read this blog I have opened up comments. I know! Crazy!!!! but hey, I like to know what you think about what I write and please remember to keep it clean and PG:) Remember my Grandma and Mom do read this blog!!!! SO!!! feel free to leave comments.

Sunday...hummm

Ok, its Sunday and I've been completely out of my mind this last week. It sucks...vertigo hit, stress sored, emotions exploded and then I hit rock bottom. Depression hit and hit me hard. It seems like everything I have been doing just got blown out of the water because of...well - work! Yes, I have allowed something that happened at work to effect my health and my mood. But it's Sunday now and I've had time to think and that was good. Now I just need to move forward.

So enough of that..and no I"m not discussing what happened because it is still lingering and there are several co-worker who read my blog and to be quit honest it's none of their business.

It's sunday and time to clean my house and get things in order...this week is full of stuff to do.
First Ihave to start running again...I took several days off. Then there it tuesday night mini marathon training, Wednesday is my book club and Thursday is my personal trainer. And I really need to get this dog hair sweeped up because it is driving me crazy...see look

The hair is in every corner, on all my blankets and against every wall. It's sick and disgusting. So that is what I'm going to do today....clean my house! Oh, and I need to run to the grocery and pet store...but other than that I'm going to just kick back and relax...unless something else comes up.

I can't forget to show everyone the cute little doggie coat I made for Tess! I'm so excited. It was really fast to make and pretty cheap...it would have been cheaper if I realized I already purchased the same exact pattern over 6 years ago.

Yep...funny huh...I made the doggie jacket and then decided to clean out my sewing kit...and there it was the same pattern I just used...I could have kicked my self...Oh, that is life.

So I throw the jacket on Chaunzie who seemed to be happy to model it of me....she does love the camera. It doesn't fit Chaunzie correctly because Tess is much smaller in the tummy area but the fabric stretchs so it worked long enough to get a picture:)

If it was up to me I would have picked a nice pretty fabric that was girly but because Tess is a hunting dog and she does belong to my boyfriend I thought it would be weird for him to have a very girlly looking dog...so camo it was! Plus I think he told me at one point not to get girly stuff for Tess.

Oh, and sorry Tess....now there is Chaunzie smell on the jacket! But I needed a model and you weren't here.

I did mess this jacket up a little bit so I do plan on doing another one....Mitch had mentioned something about some plaid fabric...which I think would be nice...so next time I go to the fabric store I'm going to see if I can pick up a yard of plaid fabric.

OK...off to my cleaning.

New Stuff for the New Year

It's the new year and I hope everyone had a safe and fun New Year's Eve. I did!!! Mitch and I went to Beth's party and had a blast. It was small but full of entertainment. Here are a few pictures of the party.....the food was insane! There was so much of it...this picture only represent some of the food. At the time the picture was taken there was more food in the oven. Insane amount of food....but it was all good and I think I gained 5 lbs eating it all.

I wasn't able to get a full group picture but here is an idea of who was there. I think Beth has pictures of all the couples so I will have to steal those from her and post them at a later date. For now everone will have to settle for what I was able to catch.

So why the title "new stuff of the new year"....because I went out and bought me some high ticket items for the new year. I purchase a Dell Laptop ( I really want a Mac but with my photography I have no real reason to get one...so it will have to wait until I restart my business in a few years). Anyway, I've been wanting a laptop and I've been keeping my eye out on the dell outlet. And this one came available....it has everyone I need plus a few extra things. It would have priced out for aroung 1000 and I got it for a bargin price of about 550. I couldn't pass it up. Now I have a laptop and I can sit comfortably on my couch and update my blog:) I'm in paradise!!!

My other purchase was a point and shoot canon A1000IS. Picked it up the other day and used it the first time at the party.....so some pictures didn't turn out the way I wanted them to but it all about figuring out the ins and outs of the camera. Over all it seems to be a good camera. With a little more practice I will see if I like it...if not I will keep looking for one that works for me. This is the problem with learning about photography...I want something that takes a good as shots as my professional camera...I may not get but I can keep looking.

Anyway, I hope everyone had a great new year.
