Doctor and insurance companied confuse me

I received a medical summary of service today and I was surprised when I opened the letter and saw that the specialist I'm going to charged me for "surgery"!

I am shocked!!! It was a surgery that cost about $700 and the sad thing is I didn't have any type of surgery. So I called the insurance company to let them know that this was billed incorrectly and to my surprise the customer service lady told me I needed to contact the doctors office and ask them what the charge was for exactly and to rebill the insurance company.

If they refuse to rebill the insurance company then I can go back to the insurance company and file a complaint or claim or something. I restated everything she said, mainly because I was in disbelief and question "so you guys aren't going to do anything"....her response "no mam".

So I fumed for the day because I'm to busy at work to take the time out of my day to deal with the doctor office that billed my insurance incorrectly. Then I started to think its not coming out of my pocket and it's not going to go into my pocket. I payed my $20 copay and I notified the insurance company of the mistake. If they want their money they can talk to the doctor's office them selves.

But this does make me question the honesty of my doctor. I already have huge trust issues and small things like this really make me question my injury. Is he making it sound like a bigger injury than it really was.

I only say this because I ended up with the doctor that is practicing under him and I started to question him about my injury. I asked him" is it a break or a fracture" His response "fracture". I asked him " is it a big fracture or a small fracture" He hesitated, lowed his eyes a bit before he spoke and then responded "a small fracture". Which drove him to release me to run.

I've also gotten from everyone (other doctors included) "you must be in a lot of pain" my response is "no, actually I'm not in any pain". After hearing this several times I started to wonder why I'm not in more pain and believe my I don't have any type of tolerance to pain.

Geeezzzz, I really have ran off on a tangent. OK...I'm stopping!!

Oh! one more thing....I'm free from the sling!!! Now it's all about flexibility and strength training:)

What to do next????

Now that my patio is finished and furnished I'm starting to wonder what is next. I have this HUGE back yard and have no idea what I want to do with it all.

I have this great garden that keeps me sane during the summer. Its such good therapy for me that Ms. E has caught me out there pulling weeds in the middle of a cold rain. Then there is my patio which doesn't take much maintenance.

But there is this large space in between that I need to do something with. It's just grass! I started to envision a pond of some sort, then it fell into a stream but then I started to think of the mechanics of the stream and I don't think it will work.

Then I thought about moving my fire pit closer and I'm still thinking about doing that but that is going to be some work and money. I've thought about purchasing a hot tub so i can soak in it every night summer and winter:) However I don't want to spend that type of money yet.

ugh!!! What to do....What to do???

My mind is wondering and every time I sit on my patio I look out into the abyss and start creating some type of enchanted garden. But who knows where my imagination will take me:)

Patio Finished

My Patio is almost finished.

I've been a little blue lately and needed something to pick me up. Nothing was working to make me feel good not even running. I've been needing a break from everything and decided that yesterday was going to be the for me. I decided to get my patio finished.

So I went and bought some mulch and two red pots for the small space between my patio and the house. Then Me and Ms. E went shopping for patio furniture. She had suggested I go to wally world or the Big K. At this point I had exhausted all other stores and couldn't find anything.

We went into wally world and looked at three table sets. It was the third on that caught my eye which I sat down in and fell in love with it. The chairs were so comfy and the table was just the right size. Not to big and not to small. and priced just right.

So we asked the sales guy to bring the package out because I was worried I couldn't get it in my car. As we were waiting we continued to look around and I saw this swing. The swing matched the table and chairs set So I sat in it and started to swing and Ms.E got all giddy and said "this is exactly like my swing" and it was! She started to point out all the feature. I started to laugh because she sounded like a wally world sales rep.

The more I sat in it the more I fell in love with it. How nice it would be to have a table and chairs and a swing. I looked at the price and it was reasonable.

Yep, I got it! I purchased both the table set and swing. I spent 3 hours putting everything together last night and spent about 5 minutes sitting on the swing before I noticed the temp dropped and I started to get cold.

It is to cold today to sit out there but at least my patio it pretty much ready for the summer.

The fabric on the furniture is a small design of green and brown. I still need to plant grass around my patio which I will do in April and I need two more bags of mulch to finish off the space between the patio and the house. But over all my patio is ready for the summer and entertaining!

Anyone ready for a cookout?

Doctor updated

I've progressed to physical therapy, sort of!

I'm not actually going to Physical Therapy but I do have exercises to do. They are simple and there are about 4 that I have to do 4 times a day. I was so excited!

BUT the best news was that I am able to start running, with a catch. If it starts to hurt I have to stop. Ugh, I know it will hurt some because I haven't used my arm for about four weeks. So if I'm doing physical therapy I expect it to hurt so I just have to figure out how much hurt I can handle.

I asked how bad the break was and it turns out its a small fracture. Nothing much to worry about but still have to be careful.

So two steps in the right direction....start physical therapy and I have the OK to run!

Girl are just as smart as boys

I was shocked this morning when the news announced that girls where matching boys in Math and Reading. Then they said that someone (sorry I can't remember the who the person was) made a statement that for some reason boys are being held back and some research is needed to find out what is holding them back.

I started thinking about that statement and started to get irritated. Just because girls are matching boys in math and reading skills someone really believes it's because boys are being held back. Can a girl not be as smart or smarter than a boy?

What is wrong with this world?

Crazy Book Broads

God it was great meeting with the ladies tonight. I needed to escape from my stress for a while and just enjoy myself.

It was a small group tonight but it was so much fun. We discussed this months book for a little bit and then ventured off and played Farkle. To be honest I've never heard of the game before tonight.

The hostess pulls out of her purse a miniature version (travel version) of the game which contained a box and 6 dice inside the box. After a few rounds of Farkle the hostess broke out the wine coolers....and yeah it was good!

Anyway, I needed to break and it was so, so good to have that break!
